Alice Osborne and I spent a Saturday at the pop-up shop helping families write letters to the people they wanted to thank.
We did this using a Letter Writing Machine*. We spoke with people about who they wanted to write to and what they wanted to say, and out of the machine came the letter they never thought they’d write.
It was a great way of starting conversations with people, talking to them about makes a good relationship, and learning how different families make their relationships work.
Writing letters of gratitude has a quite a powerful effect. We should write them more often.
* The Letter Writing Machine is a one of a kind card board box with a letter sized hole cut into it. So simple, yet capable of some much.
